Description

Confinement Jewellery

“ It can confine and give the impression of strenuous heaviness, hardness but can be adaptable ”

Through my designs, the ability to include architectural design and construction materials can hopefully attract and communicate ideas that might otherwise be overlooked or not considered. My aim is to push techniques both established and untested materials to their limits.

I want to demonstrate how a balance can be achieved using totally opposite elements by bringing together example of extremes existing in harmony. Dark and bright, sharp and smooth, light and heavy. There are things that by themselves could be considered attractive but brought together can transform into something completely different. It is this that adds an unusual aspect as well as emphasising the conflicting and dual characteristic of the concept.

Using concrete is my main purpose to explore its ability, characteristics and beauty in jewellery.

Hopefully, people can understand and relate to this concept and it gives the right impression to them.
