Designer-maker Laura Percival
embraces the imperfections of
the female form, and uses the
daily beauty of a woman as her
inspiration. Working with photo-
graphy and printed fabrics com-
bined with sewing demonstrates
her love of textiles and colour.
Mainly using household products
in order to not only take them
away from their original use, but
to consequently question a woman’s
use in society with today’s control
from the media. She highlights a
compelling distinction among the
necessary and the excessive,
between beauty and the mundane.
