SPORNO!

Masculine stereotype explored through the fetishisation of sportswear formed the basis for this collection; desire relating to both flesh and cloth. Functionality was debated through fabrication and applied to both generic sporting pieces and hybridised garments which blur the boundaries between casual and formal. The resulting collection aiming to span opposing ends of the demographic from council estate thug to fashionable man about town and encapsulating desirability across this spectrum.

“Call me rude boy, boy can you get it up? Call me rude boy, boy is you big enough?”

After graduating at BA level with first class honours Paul went on to secure the prestigious Harold Tillman scholarship on entry to the MA programme at LCF. He is currently working as a freelance menswear designer and has an unhealthy obsession with the great British high street and the endless possibilities it offers to touch real people, an area he is interested in exploring further.
