What we accept as real, and the use of nature as a representation of an ideological reality are key to my practice. Often using frames and windows, or suggestions of interiors to locate the viewer on the inside looking out, I employ varying methods of representation to question the way we read images and what role our expectation and knowledge plays in disseminating what it is we are looking at.

I am interested in whether or not we are inclined to accept a photograph as a genuine depiction of reality, and also how the lens has effected the way we experience nature and the landscape.
