Description

My work derives its atmosphere and mood from 20th century imagist poetry, and it is my endeavour to replicate the drive that these poets like Eliot and Pound defined; to create work which acknowledges history and tradition whilst immersing in the contemporary, striking a balance which employs technical tradition with contemporary progress.

I intend my work to involve the viewer with the images that immerge from this poetry, quiet figuration within undecided space that requires absorption within the paintings which have been left half-described in order to encourage personal completion
