Freelance Fashion and Print Textile Designer
The Collections feature a contrasting love of sculptured, tailoring and fitted shapes on the one hand, with creative cutting techniques on the other hand.
The work includes subtle African print details on the finishings as well hand-painted techniques. Plastics, wool, silk....anything goes but comfort is a big aspect of the clothing. No matter how quirky it looks it is important that clothing fits beautifully and that the wearer is comfortable.
These are unique one-off or limited collection pieces often with a twist to make an occasion of everyday.
A woman who cannot be ugly is not beautiful. ~Karl Krause
All too often people are pressurised to look a certain way but David's collections explores shapes and silhouettes including squares that might be perceived as ugly in order to celebrate difference in human form.
