'I d o n ' t DO f a s h i o n , I AM f a s h i o n' (Coco Chanel)
A native of Poland, Gosia Pochwat is a young fashion marketing practitioner with a genuine flair for fashion designing.
Her love for Spaniard culture and clothing diversify observed across Europe yielded an in-depth dissertation study. The study explored extent of cultural influences on customers' perception of fashion brands. It focused on Spain and Poland.
'Incoherent impressions' compose a conceptual portrait of a contemporary female customer being reached by a global fashion brand. Developed using Gosia 's skills in designing and modelling, it portrays the key learnings of the study: customers' diversity conditioned by culture. It reconciles identified Spaniard loyalty for domestic brands with Polish indulgence in brands associated with prestige and high social status.
Ubiquity of cultural differences makes the portrait a representation of any culturally different fashion buyers. It embodies the key challenge for a successful branding strategy - creating a coherent brand image cross-culturally.
Gosia obtained an Honours Master's Degree in Strategic Fashion Marketing from the London College of Fashion and a Master's Degree in International Relations from the Poznań University of Economics (Poland). She has three years of working experience across the UK, Spain, Poland, Greece, France and Italy. Currently looking to secure a role in an organisation that shares her passion for fashion and excellence in delivering brand management.
