Harriet's work engages with the perception within inanimate objects and materials that surround us. Through the medium of screenprint, photography, film and sound she explores the reconstruction of shapes and forms to expand from dimension to dimension. There is a meditative quality to her work juxtaposed with a sense of disjunction. She focus' and explores ways in which we might seek to liberate the immobility of the human eye/ viewpoint together with a meditation on the negative and positive optical elements of objects themselves.
Harriet creates abstract worlds where the rules are different.
