Jasmine Hei Wah Fung is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Hong Kong. She graduated from the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2005 before studying at Camberwell.
She is eager to share her appreciation and love of people and our surroundings via the medium of illustration. She collaborated with Swatch on their ‘Love Collection’ in both 2011 and 2012, and her illustrations were shown as part of the Christmas decorations at Magical KaKa Factory@Windsor House in 2010. In the same year, she produced a series of illustrations related to her friendships and family, shown at By My Side: Jasmine Fung 1st Manuscript Exhibition.
The storybook The Glowing Shadow is Jasmine’s final MA project and is based on her childhood experience. The main characters, Peko and Pudo, were developed from Jasmine’s character Nadia. Nadia has neither eyes nor a mouth, but she hopes to understand the world and listen to her surroundings with her heart. With this book, Jasmine hopes to encourage the readers to appreciate their own friendships and environments.
