Jim Rokos is a London based industrial designer. He explores the physical properties of materials to generate aesthetic, intriguing concepts. The brand, Rokos creates playful, functional, sculptural products that behave in unexpected ways.
Rokos won the prestigious 2012 Reddot award for the 13° 60° 104° Wine Decanter.
Jim Rokos had explored many creative areas, before discovering his passion for Industrial Design. Originally trained as a model-maker in the film and television industry (The Muppet Treasure Island, Band of Brothers, Tomb Raider, Victoria and Albert), then a photographer’s assistant, then a film extra, Jim went on to design an innovative cat-food bowl – over 50,000 have been sold throughout Europe.
He observes people’s behavior and his products can encourage a user to reflect. Fantasy and poetic elements can be seen in his works.
