Description

We used to know what place was. Now we are not so sure. Blake draws out uncertain correlations between place, self and movement. Often using mapping techniques and locomotive technology, digital and hand drawn marks, her practice is in 4D, 3D, drawing and books. Journeying is innately human. It opens up connections. With GPS tracking devices you can turn tracks into lines. Then you can look at how things correlate. In the digital era, the 'to and fro' between actual and virtual space agitates and alters our reality.
