While the ice cap is disappearing, the Polar bears and others have to say good bye to the North Pole, their instinct drive them to mate with other species in order to evolve to survive, results the birth of Polar-grizzly bear.

This collection was inspired by the Polar bear, hybrid, Climate Change and the Eskimo skin clothing.

The persistent rise in temperature tends to draw the larger animal to extinction, mating with other species to produce mutants gives their descendant a chance to survive.

In order to illustrate the concept of hybrid, the collection is formed by animal shapes in the garment panels. Instead of using real fur; Renewable materials like wool, mohair and wool jersey were used, giving a warm and soft feeling just like fur.

The line up starts with an off cream wool with igloo technical embroidery polar bear suit, with graphical laser-cut hood. Following with a off white wool, yellow and grey mohair dress, with mask inspired by Eskimo protective eye wear.

Ki Ching Cheung and Ka Wai Lo have worked together on this final year project. They developed their signature arrow shape and rectangular shape technical borders in every pieces.

Both came from Hong Kong, China, they completed their BA (Hons) at London College of Fashion, concentrating on Womenswear. Before that, Ka Wai Lo had obtained Foundation diploma in Art and Design in London College of Fashion.

Thanks to these four years experiences, apart from necessary skills,
the greatest benefits she have gained is the learning of a creative process, i.e.,research, design and thinking process.
