Description

Drawing in a wider perspective constituetes the core of my practice. Many of my projects examine the borderland between drawing and other mediums like installation, sculpture, video and painting. I am interested in psychology and in particular the relation between the unconscious and conscious in artistic expression. I have experimented with different methods to get at intuitive drawing, enable 'accidents' and make use of these. The inspiration for this investigation has been everything from earlier artists working with traces of action, action painting and automatic writing to how small children draw. Later works have been concerned with communication, traces of action, and the artist's mark.
