Understanding space and its relationship with human body.
The Light House
The project started by investigating the public and private divisions within a domestic environment.
The use of spaces is multiple and varied depending on the inhabitants, yet a certain consistency in spatial organization is found throughout every type of domestic buildings.
Therefore, how can we create a fixed layout yet allowing flexible use accommodating various ways of life?
In the Light House, the internal walls' luminosity, reflectivity and transparency visually open and close the spaces throughout day and night, with the light as means of change.
The inhabitants have a certain control over space; at the same time enjoy increased vertical and horizontal interactions in the house.
