2010 design graduate, set on a career in footwear and working to become a knowledgeable, innovative and exciting new designer.
BA final project: Nature Meets Technology to Redefine Luxury
Personal vision is a sustainable & technology-focused design approach, without aesthetic compromise. Utilising CAD and rapid prototyping technologies I attempted to redefine the footwear product lifecycle, creating my own unique construction process. The result is a modular construction which is both visually striking, and enables separation of parts (for recycling/biodegrading) post consumption. Materials have been heavily reconsidered and utlise Organic Leather Uppers and Bioresin Sole Units.
Interested in innovation for footwear, I adopt a forward thinking and learning based approach which inspires my design. Ambitious and passionate about all-things visual, technology and materials innovation is a driving force behind my work and I hope to continue developing skills and expertise in these fields. Excited by Trend forecasting and Fashion marketing, I enjoy the challenge of both commercial and conceptual work. Previous experience includes Y-3 adidas and Nicholas Kirkwood.
With special thanks to everyone who helped make this project possible.
