Minako Tsuda

Minako Tsuda grew up in Tokyo until she was 15, and has been living in the UK for 9 years. Having had a life in boarding school in Gloucestershire(middle of nowhere!) her high school time had been spent crossing the world between the country side of UK and the city of Tokyo. This had a fundamental influence on her work as a fashion designer. Minako is currently studying at the LCF, Cordwainers accessories; Product Designs and development (final year BA degree).
Her graduation collection was based on 30s - 50s British men's shoes, inspiration from the shape of heels, detail designs of the hook with strings. The traditional style that she shows in her collections was by handcraft man ship. All her works has done by hand stitching and avoiding to use any machine. She always has a passion to have something playful and quirky, not very serious, like her personality. She strongly believes that all her characters and her emotions always appear in her designs. She loves to see people to smile with her designs ;)
