Czech born designer Radoslava Leva likes playing with a large variety of surfaces and materials. She is interested mainly in interior design especially in designing wallpapers, rugs, textiles and ceramics. She says ' I would rather dress up the wall of a room than myself'. Radoslava finds interesting to turn 3D images into decorative patterns that she can then apply to different flat surfaces. Her interest for simplicity, shape and line with good range of colour combination.
Observation is a main part of her creative work : she enjoys combining together her photographic and sketching skills to create unique design. Radoslava's current work reflects a mixture of influences that comes from her childhood in Prague and her life in London. There is a sense of memories attached to her work. Each of her current designs with unique and characteristic styles shows something from her environment and background as he constantly collects unusual things and images appealing to her. She likes old things with a soul and her work finds balance between those daily objects and memories to create something more functional, exiting and beautiful.
Radoslava has been recently exhibited at graduated FdA Surface Show in 2009, at the Free Range last year 2009 and she has been part of the Art-S -Talker association of new young artists since 2009. She is one of the winners of The Cumin Museum wallpaper competition 2010
